144-hour transit visa route check for Shanghai to Seoul
I am flying London to Shanghai, staying four nights, then leaving for Seoul on a separate ticket. The airline can see both bookings, but the second flight is not on the same PNR.
Has anyone used this exact pattern recently? I am mostly worried about the airline desk in London, not the Shanghai border counter.
My current checklist is passport, printed onward ticket, hotel address in English and Chinese, and a short note explaining the route.

This route worked for me in May with Tokyo as the onward city. The airline desk wanted to see the onward flight and hotel booking. The Shanghai counter mostly cared that the onward destination was a third region.
Print the onward ticket even if you keep everything on your phone. My airline desk typed the flight number manually and the paper made the discussion shorter.
